Piece description from the artist
This photograph captures the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, taken along the Mississippi River Wall of Fame, a favorite spot for locals and visitors. A soft, hazy blue light filters across the scene, adding mood and atmosphere to the muddy river, which was flowing higher than usual after heavy spring rains. Stretching gracefully across the frame is the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge, one of the most photogenic landmarks on the Mississippi River, connecting Missouri and Illinois. This location offers incredible opportunities for river photography, especially when changing light and weather add unique character to the landscape.
