The canvas depicts the famous canals of the city of Empuribrava, which is located in the Catalan province of Girona (Spain). The lower part of the artwork depicts water and a pier (left). On the right are the boats. Tall palm trees are visible in the distance. The background is a multi-colored sky at sunset. The artist tried to convey the beauty of the place. To achieve this goal, the author of the artwork used a painstaking technique, involving the study of details and serious work on the color scheme. Particular attention was paid to the water surface and reflections. Varnished and signed. Oil on cardboard.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
