A Duck Boat drives through the buildings of downtown Boston, Massachusetts.

Sometimes the photograph you plan on creating isn’t the photograph that ends up coming out of the camera. For this photograph I was walking around downtown Boston, enjoying a perfect weather day and taking in the history and architecture. There was a huge pack of bicyclists approaching from a couple of blocks away when I squatted down for what was supposed to be a fun, fisheye shot of the cyclists passing.

All of a sudden, this Boston Duck Tours boat came barreling down the street completely blocking my shot of the cyclist. My disappointment was quickly erased when I took a lot at the positioning of the duck boat in relation to the cool architecture all around it.
