Borst and Si

Piece description from the artist

Location: Borst Lake, Snoqualmie, WA – 2022

Nature often surprises us in simple places, and Borst Lake in Snoqualmie is that. This unassuming locale boasts a remarkable hidden gem – the tranquil waters that, on a calm day, mirror the majestic Mount Si in the distance. While details about Borst Lake may be scarce, it's a place that left a lasting impression on me. Some call it Mill Pond, a nod to the old Weyerhaeuser mill that once stood nearby. Its name honors Jeremiah Borst, a beloved father figure in the Snoqualmie Valley community.
