Piece description from the artist
A dreamy diptych that captures the serenity of summer. In the Middle Ages many panel paintings took the diptych form, as small portable works for personal use; similarly to this piece which is one part of a diptych.
Tyler Varsell graduated from the University of Hartford in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Web Design and Development. While she took a couple photography classes in college, Tyler is mostly self-taught, and has experience in both analog and digital photography. Living in rural Connecticut, Tyler is continually finding inspiration in the beauty and transience of nature.
Tyler has been working primarily in collage and mixed media since 2005, but photography has always been a passion of hers. Most recently, Tyler has been active in sharing her work with the online art community, and has exhibited her work locally. She is currently represented by a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles, California.
When she's not creating, Tyler works as the web manager for an independent school in Connecticut.
