Although I paint abstractions I am drawn to old buildings that have remnants of paint peeling and show the wear and tear of time and the effects of weather and I think that experience helps inform some of my work.
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
