Before sunrise a great blue heron roams the gulf coast shoreline on the hunt for food in Orange Beach, Alabama, United States. The fishing piers stand in the background as waves roll in from the Gulf Of Mexico (Gulf Of America to some). As the waves recede, the wet sand reflects the pier. The slower exposure shows the movement of the water. Beautiful clouds add softness to the sky as the early dawn light casts tones of purple, pink and blue. A great way to start the day on the Alabama coast.
