A snowy forest of birch trees in winter. The original was created with oil paints on canvas. This painting has a sister painting, "Birch Trees in the Fall". The two are meant to be displayed side by side.
I've always been an artist and painting is how I express my joy for life. Nature is my inspiration. I'm a prolific creator, with a wide range of mediums and surfaces including: encaustic wax, oil paints, alcohol inks, watercolors, acrylics, textiles, pottery, ceramic decals and glass. I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. We have a dog, who makes us a family of 5.
