Biophilia 8

Biophilia 8

Piece description from the artist

The Biophilia series arose out of a month long residency at the Mendocino Art Center. Located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the Center is immersed in the natural world. Each day after working in my studio, I'd walk to the cliffs bordering the ocean, studying the flowers, the deep blue of the water and the rich umber shades of the bluffs, All of these found their way into Biophilia, or" love of life".
