This painting shows the medieval bridge of Besalú (Catalonia, Spain) at sunrise, with the Fluvia River glowing beneath it. Wrapped in soft morning light, the town’s ancient stones and blue-toned trees create a calm, timeless atmosphere. The red sun rising over the hills brings warmth to the cool colours, hinting at the beginning of a new day in one of Catalonia’s most historic villages. Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
