Bennett Spring Fishing By The Large Tree

Some fishermen and a fisherwoman enjoy fly fishing for trout while standing in the clear, spring-fed river at Bennett Spring State Park in Missouri. I love the character of the large trees along the riverbank, especially those with multiple trunks twisting and growing in different directions, creating interesting subject in the scene. Across the water, colorful autumn foliage adds a beautiful burst of fall color, with the trees reflecting across the gently flowing surface.

Located near Lebanon, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks, This is one of Missouri’s earliest state parks and a popular destination for trout fishing, nature, and outdoor recreation. The natural spring produces around 100 million gallons of water every day, and all of the water flowing through this river originates from the spring.

The peaceful combination of clear spring water, towering trees, vibrant fall foliage, and anglers enjoying a day of trout fishing captures the beauty and tranquility of autumn in the Missouri Ozarks. It was a beautiful scene to stop and photograph while taking in the natural character of this special place.
