Belle Isle & the Det Yacht Club DJI_0557 Painting

Piece description from the artist

This painting captures a sweeping aerial view of Belle Isle and the historic Detroit Yacht Club on the Detroit River. The warm, terracotta-colored rooftops of the clubhouse stand out against the cool blue waters and the soft greenery of the island. Empty slips stretch into the marina, hinting at the bustling summer months when boats fill the docks. The Detroit skyline rises in the distance, its tall buildings softened by a hazy horizon, while the river reflects the changing tones of the sky—shifting from dusky blues to warm hints of sunset. The overall mood blends serenity with a quiet energy, balancing natural beauty, architectural charm, and the iconic urban presence of Detroit.
