Beacon hill windows boston

Beacon Hill Windows, Boston

Piece description from the artist

A pen and ink drawing of a bird's eye view of Boston's historic Beacon Hill section, with its decorative gas lanterns and varied building facades. Although this scene is drawn on Beacon Street, along Beacon Hill, it is classic Boston through and through, and could have been taken from any one of it's historic neighborhoods. I rarely draw scenes zoomed in this closely to my subject, but in this case, the contrast between the gas lights, the bricks, and the windows themselves created a unique way to express this Boston-esque scene.
