Most of my work flows from an intuitive process that just flows better when I am mindful of what sources influence me.
the joy of seeing what comes out of this process is overwhelming. In the most fulfilling moments of creative flow I'm only aware of what I am inspired to do as one completed step opens up a revelation of what comes next. When I'm finished I often sit in thankfulness and wonder at what just took place. Most of all I revel in a quiet awareness that the great creator of all things has shared a small piece of His wonderful self with me – and it is indeed a great work.
As a Maine artist Ramona aspires to evoke a sense of the inspiration she gains from the rocky coast and the open sea. Her background in somatic therapy through a trauma-informed approach led her to appreciate the therapeutic benefits of art, both for the creator and the viewer. Believing in the expressive theory of art, her goal in every painting is to capture the hope, joy, and peaceful energy found in every living thing and make it a tangible experience for the viewer. Her work is currently enjoyed in private collections and through wearable fashion and home decor items.
