This painting captures a special beach in Empúries, Catalonia, Spain — a place where golden sand and turquoise waves exist side by side with ancient ruins. It’s one of the few spots on the Mediterranean coast where you can swim just steps away from the remains of a Greek and Roman settlement. The scene shows families enjoying the sun, straw parasols, and a peaceful coastline, all painted in vibrant strokes. Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
