Baer whites no.5

Piece description from the artist
This was created during and after a month-long artist residency in northern Iceland, in June of 2013. The light was constant there – it was midnight sun season – and it was the purest, whitest light I had ever witnessed. This series is a response to, and an exploration of, that light. The word Baer, in the title, is an Icelandic word for farm; the artist residency I attended was located on a large horse farm, near the arctic circle.
