Piece description from the artist
I love Beavers because they are intelligent builders and are known to create very intricate dams in the creeks and rivers of the wilderness. This little baby will learn how to build just like his elders. The drawing was originally done in my sketchbook with pen and ink, and is drawn in careful detail to capture the sweet and innocent features of this little Beaver's face and fur. I truly love to capture all of the details of animals, and each one has such intrinsic and recognizable eyes, fur and body shapes that capturing them becomes a way for me to really show my deep love for nature and its creatures.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
