Piece description from the artist
A view from my friend’s cabin in Adams County, Ohio.
After 10 years as a marketing research and public relations manager for a major corporation, Ann Jenemann quit her job to pursue her first love; art. She received a degree in drawing and painting from the University of Cincinnati and began showing her landscape paintings in galleries immediately after graduating.
Jenemann’s representational style, accomplished with loose brushwork and acute color sense, stems from the painting tradition of the California Impressionists – She paints small studies on site ("en plein air":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/En_plein_air). Then, working from those studies and photographs, she completes larger finished pieces in her studio.
Jenemann has made road trips all across the United States to paint outdoors – including Maine, Texas, Wyoming and Cape Cod. She continues her studies with noted landscape artists including Skip Whitcomb, "T. Allen Lawson":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._Allen_Lawson and Ken Auster.
Jenemann’s work has been exhibited and collected across the country. She is a member of "Oil Painters of America":http://www.oilpaintersofamerica.com/.
