Autumn Cascades Fishing Bennett Spring

I captured this beautiful autumn scene while standing along the riverbank beside a series of small waterfalls and cascades at Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon, Missouri. The clear, cool spring water rushes over moss-covered rocks, creating a peaceful collection of cascading rapids and miniature falls. In the distance, fishermen can be seen fly fishing for trout, adding a wonderful sense of life to this tranquil Ozarks landscape.

Getting into position along the rocks was a little tricky, as the thick moss made the surfaces surprisingly slippery. But finding this viewpoint was worth the careful steps. I love how the flowing water, moss-covered rocks, and colorful autumn foliage come together to capture the natural beauty of Bennett Spring in the fall.

One of Missouri’s earliest state parks that is fed by a powerful natural spring that produces around 100 million gallons of fresh water every day. The incredible flow creates the clear, spring-fed river that winds through the park and makes this area a favorite destination for trout fishing, nature lovers, and photographers exploring the Missouri Ozarks.
