The cityscape of Austin Texas is changing so rapidly that it almost needs to be photographed monthly to keep up with the development of the city. This sunset panorama of the city from the east in mid December still shows the fall colors on the trees alongside Lady Bird Lake, and also a lovely set of colors from the setting sun providing a warm background to the modern buildings lining the waterfront.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
