The Aurora Borealis dances over Fellows Lake in Springfield, Missouri, United States. It is a moment I hope to not ever forget! Just wow. Colors of pink, red, green and purple reflect on the water as it moves across the sky. You can even see a brief shooting star. On October 10, 2025, the Northern Lights were in storm mode reaching a KP factor of 8.67 and was seen as far south as Florida. I'm so glad we decided to get out on a busy weeknight to see it. This is the 2nd time I have gotten to witness them and this was the first time it was pretty visible with our own eyes. The first time I could only see it in the camera.
