"Astronaut" is a painting completed in 2011. The idea came to me while listening to a rather space-like and ethereal song which inspired a strange story to accompany it. The main question I'm asked, and am still asking myself about this astronaut, is 'why?'…
Brian DeYoung grew up outside Chicago, Illinois area and relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 2008. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in illustration.
Illustration has been his passion for a very long time, particularly using traditional media to create his work, along with using his images to create a story. Brian's work is poignant, animated, technically impressive, and often humorous.
