Arriving in Corniglia

Arriving in Corniglia

This original painting by artist Christopher Clark depicts the beautiful Mediterranean coastal landscape of the town Corniglia (pronounced cor-NEEL-ee-ah, the “g” is silent), in the larger group of towns known as Cinque Terre. Perched on top of a sheer cliff, Cornigia is the highest of the five small fishing villages on the upper western coast of Italy, in the province of Liguria. For the most part, the five towns of Cinque Terre can be accessed only by train, boat, or by foot as you walk along the ancient mule trails that connect the five towns together. Add this rustic Italian scene to your art collection, or add perfectly to any decor.
