An afternoon black and white view of the iconic Horseshoe Bend in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Page, Arizona, United States. The sunlight brings out the tones of the rock cliffs as the water form the majestic Colorado River curves around. Part of the the Navajo Nation, this is the Colorado River carving it's way widely around a sandstone escarpment. The cliff is around 1000 feet is also part of the Colorado Plateau. We captured this from a private viewing area that is owned by the family who owns and operations Horseshoe Bend Slot Canyon Tours company. It was nice to see it with out dealing with the crowd at the main view area.
