Antelope Canyon Kayak Journey

I captured this watercourse scene of kayakers exploring the narrow sandstone canyon walls of Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell in Page, Arizona. Their colorful kayaks float the calm water, providing a sense of scale against the tall cliffs surrounding them. Layers of cream, orange, and deep red sandstone rise boldly above the lake, showing the incredible natural beauty which makes this canyon one of the most memorable destinations in the American Southwest.

The gentle ripples on the lake mirror the canyon walls as a soft blue sky adds contrast overhead, Seeing the canyon from the water offers a different perspective than hiking through the famous slot canyon, allowing visitors to appreciate it from a boat.

Located within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and managed by the National Park Service, this peaceful corner of Lake Powell is one of my favorite places to experience the beauty of the desert. Watching kayakers paddle between these massive sandstone walls was a reminder of just how grand and peaceful this remarkable landscape truly is.
