Amy Winehouse sang as though the truth were a wound that refused to close, and she had decided, long before the rest of us were ready to keep it open to the air. There was no performance in her voice, no protective mask. What we heard was the sound of a woman telling on the world and on herself at the same time, refusing to separate blame neatly, because she understood that life never does. She came from a long tradition of singers who knew that music is not meant to rescue you, only to tell you where you are. Her voice carried the grain of old vinyl and older grief, a reminder that pain does not belong to any one era or any one body. When she sang about love, it was never the love people applaud, it was the love that humiliates, that lingers too long, that asks you to betray your own dignity just to feel less alone. And she sang it without apology, which is to say, with courage. The world likes its damaged geniuses only so long as they remain decorative. Amy was never decorative. She was specific. She named the mess. She made listeners complicit. And so the same culture that praised her honesty recoiled from it, mistaking discomfort for scandal. Alicia says, her voice brimming with love.Her mother’s encouragement laid the foundation for Alicia's passionate pursuit of art, and this deep-rooted sense of gratitude continues to fuel her work. Each of Alicia’s paintings is more than just a visual experience it’s a story. A narrative born from her desire to transform the world into a beautiful, peaceful dream. Her art seamlessly blends the realms of imagination and nature, inviting viewers to embrace the boundless beauty of the world around them.

While she works in both oils and acrylics, Alicia particularly favors acrylics for their versatility and fast-drying properties, which allow her to experiment and evolve without delay.
