ALONG THE PATH

Piece description from the artist

ALONG THE PATH is from a series of limited edition Giclee prints that are inspired by the patterns and structures found in nature. The process for creating the print starts with collage and watercolor. The painting is layered with an original digital photograph and re-worked with Sumi ink and color. Then the work is scanned and an archival ink jet print on watercolor paper is generated, resulting in a unique series of signed and numbered prints. My work covers a range of media; photography, painting, and work on paper. I love subtly and enjoy the organic process of playing with layers of color. My goal is to create beautiful forms that harmoniously move with rhythm and intensity. I am often inspired by the way the world appears through the lens. My paintings and prints frequently refer to my photographs and I’ve been told that my photographs are often mistaken for paintings.
