Piece description from the artist
I truly believe love heals almost anything, and having experienced the healing power of being loved through difficult times, I decided to illustrate that a broken heart can be mended and that the human spirit is resilient and capable of overcoming great obstacles and loss when love is there to be a restorative force. This red heart, broken but mended with the thread and needle of love, representing the time and care it takes to heal, serves as a vibrant reminder that we can all overcome. The graphic nature of the piece, with its clean lines and limited color palette, keeps the universality of this message as the center focus.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley.
