A grouping of cool looking alcoves in Canyon de Chelly in Chinle, Arizona. This is near the Antelope House Overlook and Black Rock Canyon. The afternoon sunlight was giving the cool sandstone rock layers a golden warm tone. The layers and textures are just amazing. I can imagine these were good hiding places for the Ancestral Puebloans between the 12th and 13th centuries.
