I was intrigued by this abandoned farmhouse surrounded by crops in the Palouse country of eastern Washington. Who lived here? What stories does this house have to tell? I wanted to capture both the beauty and the mystery of this scene in this photograph.
After a career as a photographer and visuals editor in newspapers, I decided to focus on documenting the natural world. I hope my images can not only bring others joy but also create a better understanding of the beauty and life around us.
