Piece description from the artist
Charlotte is my very well read sister. She often reads late into the night, so when I can, I bring her a little snack of some of her favorite things, a cup of Earl Grey, pears and blue cheese, maybe some grapes.. a little bite to keep the mind and body alert…
Pamela Cresswell is originally from a very rural area of Virginia, where she grew up as a farm girl. She has spent her life pursuing art and photography, she got her first SLR film camera as a teenager. She got her BFA in Studio Art long before the age of digital photography. That may be why so much of her work looks more like oil or watercolor paintings than digital photos.
Pam married her college boyfriend, and when a job opportunity opened up in Kansas City for him, she packed up their two small children, 2 cats, many, many, books, a house full of various stuff, and moved with him to Missouri. There she has lived happily with her family and a variety of furry and scaled creatures, and studied art, herbs and folk medicine, pottery, incense making, and a bit of gardening, though she has trouble telling weeds from flowers. There is beauty to be found in the prickliest bur, when the light is right!
