A Seat For The Sunrise

Piece description from the artist

This photograph captures a calm, hazy morning along the riverbank sets the scene as the soft glow of sunrise begins to illuminate the Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, United States. With a bench positioned off to the right side of the composition, the viewer is invited to imagine sitting and watching the day slowly come to life while looking toward Illinois on the opposite shore. The Mississippi, America’s second-longest river, flows roughly 2,350 miles from Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico, shaping landscapes, ecosystems, and generations of history along its path. A quiet moment captured along one of the world’s most iconic waterways.
