A sweeping, atmospheric landscape photograph capturing a two-lane highway winding through a dramatic river valley. Crepuscular sunbeams break through heavy, dark storm clouds, illuminating rolling golden hills, verdant agricultural fields, and a quiet river bend. The curving asphalt road forms a strong foreground leading line, pulling the viewer through a striking contrast of shadow, storm, and golden afternoon light.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
