About Lois Mitchell

Hudson, NH

Adding beauty, relaxation, laughter, and interest to your day! Creating watercolor paintings and 3D expressive topographic maps.

Lois grew up in a musical family and graduated with a music composition degree, while at the same time always wanting to draw and paint. After spending time in the workforce designing computer programs and more, she made a decision to pursue what she has always loved, creating visual artwork. In 2012, Lois completed the illustration program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and received her Illustration Certificate.

Lois looks for beauty and humor in the world, as well as the expression of emotions about injustice and dramatic events. There is a technical aspect to some of her pieces. She uses a variety of media, including watercolor, oil, acrylic, gouache, charcoal, pencil, clay board, paper layering, photography, and digital painting and drawing.
