Waterline XXII

Waterline XXII

Piece description from the artist

The "Waterlines" project is a series of reflections in a 20’ stretch of water near my house. Some resemble faces or bodies of people, animals or spirits, some resemble landscapes while others are abstract patterns. The speed and depth of the water, the velocity and direction of the wind, the height and angle of the sun, the shapes and hues of the clouds, the colors (or absence) of leaves, rain, snow, fog or ice – all affect how this tiny microcosm projects its surroundings. Water is constantly surging, the reflections morph like a high-speed movie so the human eye can’t actually see the images captured in micro-seconds by the camera.
