Remember playing outside until the sun went down as a child? Rollerskating was my sport of choice. We lived on a developing block full of construction that was about 1/4 mile all the way around. I would lap it on my roller skates dozens of times until I would finally tired out and go inside for some lemonade.
If you asked 6-year-old Emily what she wanted to be when she grew up the answer would be "a teacher during the school year, a doctor during the summers, and an artist during my free time." To which adult Emily now asks, "what free time?" But now, she is well on her way to being a scientist during the day and an artist at night – close enough, right? With two degrees in bioengineering, Emily has focused on the science world for the last years but rediscovering her love for art has quickly become something she is passionate about.
