O Brooklyn was taken on my first trip to Brooklyn, New York, and my first walk on the Brooklyn Bridge. I rarely dabble in B&W, but the sharp contrasts and highlighted grays give this picture a justifiably historic look. The seemingly interlocking cables of the bridge are hypnotizing but also create a path for the eye line to the center of the image giving the 2D photo another natural dimension.
Blaise Roy Ormond is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Blaise began shooting film photography as a hobby in 2017 after completing his Master’s degree in Media Ventures from Boston University. Over the years, as the world of photography continued to trend more digital, he became passionate about revitalizing tangible art with analog technology. This passion has inspired Blaise to shoot photography exclusively with 110 film and capture that nostalgic essence on vintage cameras. His first self produced exhibit, THAT HOUSE – Home Sweet Home, will be a fully immersive art experience set in the 1970s to be held at the start of 2023.
