This is a very dramatic and bold painting. All the various shades of red contrast with each other and the textures add to the tension and drama. A red sky in the morning often proceeds a stormy day and the painting evokes of a sense of a looming storm and the sunlight bouncing off the clouds before the rain begins.
Denise is an artist from Arvada, Colorado. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
