My recent paintings examine hidden narratives in found photographs. The blank areas of the picture invite the imagination to complete the fragmented story.
In making these pieces I contemplated how a paleontologist might examine the fossilized bone fragments of a primordial animal and then imagine the entire beast, or how an archeologist might examine the tattered fragments of an ancient religious text to resurrect a long lost mythology.
