Piece description from the artist
New high rise buildings in downtown San Francisco tower over AT&T Park, all the way down in the SOMA area. The city looks on as their beloved Giants try to drive a run home from third base. A close observation will reveal the very top of the Transamerica pyramid peeking out to the far left.
Danny Anderson has no formal training in photography, but he makes up for what he lacks in training with a unique perception of the world around him.
From the beginning, Danny's approach was simple; when he photographs a location, Danny attempts to capture not just what it looks like, but what it feels like to be there. In doing so, contrasts, composition, dynamics and drama have become an integral part of his process and consideration while making artwork. Danny is always searching for everyday beauty so he can allow the day-to-day imagery to distract and inspire him. Danny refers to this process as "natural distraction."
Danny currently lives and works in Brentwood, California.
