Nancy E. F. Halbert was a choreographer and modern dancer before she became a visual artist. She has a Master’s Degree in teaching art from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. She has been chosen to be a featured artist in Studio Visit Magazine, a national juried publication, it’s January, 2013 edition.

In her art-making process, Nancy focuses on the balance between energy and stillness. She draws and paints in a gestural, painterly, style while combining a variety of media.

Nancys’ paintings have been selected for many juried exhibitions, including "The Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA http://www.woodmereartmuseum.org, Main Line Art Center, Haverford, PA. She is the former Director of the artists cooperative, MUSE Gallery and is not its’ membership coordinator.

Nancy has had an extensive career teaching drawing and painting to students at all levels. She offers private workshops in her home studio.
