Meryl Spiegel is a Long Island photographer who portrays the people, places, and things around her, whether she is at home on the East End, roaming Manhattan or traveling abroad. Her subject matter ranges from street life to seascapes to still life. Taken primarily in color with medium format film and digital cameras, her images look more like paintings than photographs. Her work graces a variety of corporate and personal art collections.
Meryl studied photography at the International Center of Photography (ICP) and the Center for Media Studies in Manhattan, as well as the Image-Ouverte School of Photography in southern France.
