Water paper pirate

Water Paper Pirate

Piece description from the artist

A piece I started out by drawing with pen, painting with watercolor, and adding light with white acrylic, altering on the computer, adding textures to it and a background, and finally shading the colors differently. It was a long process but I am VERY happy with the results where there is so much detail, cool metallic like colors to add magnificent displays of color, shine, and depth, and added visual display with the background. The original of this is a stretched canvas and will be signed with a message detailing that is is the only original and the others are being sold as prints and that alone(without signatures as well).

About Ben Geiger

Tc, CA

At the age of twenty-two, Ben Geiger has already discovered a deep passion for art. He has always loved the process of art-making, but never considered it as a profession until recently; A couple of years ago, Ben realized that he could never take a nine-to-five job, so he set out to become a professional artist. Since then, he has worked with painting, drawing, photography, design and sculpture. For Ben, the art-making process is about exploring the imagination, and he looks to "Gustav Klimt":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Klimt, "Tim Burton":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Burton, and "Jamie Hewlett":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Hewlett for inspiration.

Recently, Ben's work has been featured on "Society 6":http://society6.com/artist/BenGeiger9 and on "Tumblr Radar":http://tumblrradararchive.tumblr.com/post/10248612432/fer1972-panda-by-ben-geiger.
