The Lingering Snowbank
I painted this in a neighborhood adjacent to Davis Square in Cambridge. It was mid-winter but the sun was melting a recent snow. While I was painting this a homeless man chatted me up for a while…He informed me that he had just found a bag of frozen shrimp in a snow bank and invited me to join him at MacDonalds to get two cups of hot water so he could warm up his find, and feast on shrimp cocktail.
