A New Day

In this piece, Kari lets the paint itself stand in for the subject; it could be the dry brushing of the particles, to indicate the frailty of the image in the atmosphere, or slathering and scraping, eroding the lost color buried in layers. As a result, the perspective shifts, losing or distorting the horizon and sometimes flying out to aerial views.
