Haleakala

Piece description from the artist

I was "stuck" on Maui until flights opened up so I had time to kill in paradise. I took 3 buses up to 3000ft. on Haleakala and walked/hitchhiked the last 3 miles to Grandma's Coffee, sat out on the back porch and enjoyed my lunch overlooking the island. On the walk back, I snapped this picture and all I wanted at that moment was to sit down with a canvas and paint the day away. A perfect cap to an amazing trip. Unluckily, I made my way down the volcano and got on the next flight out back to Chicago. Lance, if you're out there, thanks for the lift and you need to clean out your truck.
