Don't Let Me Go

Don't Let Me Go

The butterfly in this painting is a representation of me. Looking back on my past I saw a pattern of dependency to people in my life. Like the butterfly I tried so hard to hold on to what I thought was a secure place, but the line has always been severed. What I didn’t realize at the time was that even though I may have tumbled and fallen for a short while, my wings were always there and gave me strength to fly above the hard times, always landing me in a better place, all while building strength and character I wouldn’t have had without the tribulations.
