Charles river towards soldiers field

Charles River Toward Soldiers Field Rd.

Piece description from the artist

A splash of clouds rushes across the sky and is reflected in the river below. Trees on the opposite shore are beginning to show signs of autumn color. To be capable of communicating anything meaningful to the viewer, a painting must be the record of a 'conversation' between the painting and the painter.

About Beth Redmond Walsh

Boston, MA

For Beth Redmond Walsh landscape painting is a newer direction in her work. She has been making abstract paintings for many years in the studio and in the summer of 2010 she began to explore painting en plein air using the wet into wet technique.

For Beth, being completely absorbed in the act of painting is the primary reason for doing so, working through the process of developing a piece where there is no “artist” and no “artwork” but just painting.

Beth is affiliated with the Cambridge Artist Association, Cambridge Artists Open Studios, and The Distillery, South Boston.
